Yesterday, as I’m sure you were aware, was International Kiss a Ginger Day, a day for redheads around the world to smooch away to their heart’s content.
We don’t think there were too many major events around the world to mark such a momentous occasion, but as there are so many members of the ginger community in Ireland, The Dough Brothers Pizzeria in Galway weren’t about to pass up such an opportunity.
Eugene Greaney from The Dough Brothers happens to be a ginger himself and, feeling a little bit sorry for redheads who might not have got the shift yesterday, he organised a Facebook promotion inviting those who like their page on Facebook to tag a friend and get a buy one, get one free pizza voucher and a can of club orange to boot.
For those of you who don’t know today is NATIONAL KISS A GINGER DAY! Half the staff here are Fanta Pants merchants so…

Eugene expected a decent response, but he didn’t expect to have to give away 250 pizzas and 250 cans of club orange even though, when chatting to JOE today, he said he was happy to help out his ‘soul less’ brothers and sisters.
There was a decent bit of craic had over on their Facebook page too.
