Visitors to the 3 Irish Open, set to take place on the August bank holiday weekend, will be able to buy replicas of the Kartel polo shirts that Padraig Harrington will be wearing while competing at the event, it has been announced.

Harrington and Kartel are aiming to raise money for Make-A-Wish Foundation, through the Padraig Harrington Charitable Foundation at the event in Killarney.
The special edition polo shirts will be on sale at the Kartel stand in the Irish Open tented village for the duration of the event until Sunday 1st August 2010.
Commenting on the charity promotion Padraig Harrington said, “It would be great to see fans wearing my shirts at this year’s Irish Open and would give me a real boost out on the course to know that they are not only supporting me, but also helping to raise vital funds for Make-A-Wish Ireland to help them carry out their fantastic work.
“I’d encourage everyone attending the event over the August bank holiday weekend to get down to the Kartel stand in the tented village to view the special edition charity polo shirts and help us raise as much money as possible for this great cause.â€
The Make-A-Wish foundation aims to grant the wishes of children aged between 3 and 18 years living with life-threatening medical conditions. Since its inception in 1992 Make-A-Wish in Ireland has granted wishes for over 1000 children.
