Help support young Gavin Glynn by showing off your general knowledge skills this August…

Gavin was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer known as Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) on 19th October 2011 and his family desperately needs your help…

Rhabdomyosarcoma is a cancerous (malignant) tumour of the muscles that are attached to the bones. After being told that there was nothing more that could be done for him, Gavin has got a lifeline, namely a potentially life-saving treatment in the US.

The Glynns need to raise over $450,000 to cover the cost of Gavin’s treatment there. So with that, the Glynns have organised a table quiz in the Hilton Hotel on August 6 to raise funds to help little Gavin in his battle to beat cancer.

They hope to have 40-50 tables participating and are targeting to raise €3,000+ on the night.

Here’s a look at the details for the night:

• Date: Wednesday August 6th 2014
• Location: Hilton Hotel, Charlemont Place, Dublin 2 (beside Ranelagh bridge on the Grand Canal)
• Entry: €40 for a team of four/€10 per person
• Payment: Go to the payment page here, and email your team entry details to gavinglynnquiz@gmail.com. If you don’t have a full team, you can be paired up with other teams on the night. You can also pay on the night.
• Donations:  If you can’t make it along on the night but would like to contribute anyway, please make a donation using the link above.
• Quiz: Starts at 7pm. General knowledge, with rounds on sport, music, film/TV and current affairs.
• Prizes: 1^st Prize: Prize to the value of €75 per person, 2^ndPrize: Prize to the value of €50 per person, 3^rd Prize: Prize to the value of €25 per person.
• Fundraising: There will also be a raffle and auction of sporting memorabilia on the night.
