Ahead of the upcoming Marriage Referendum on Friday, May 22, Irish broadcaster Seán Munsanje has taken to Facebook to tell his story of growing up in Ireland as a gay, black man and he explains why he’s asking everyone he knows to Vote Yes on the day.
In the brilliantly-written post to Facebook, Seán Munsanje discusses his life growing up in Ennis, hiding his sexuality during his school years, and why voting yes will help future generations of gay people in Ireland.
