Bank of Ireland’s payment issues this morning left some civil servants without their wages, but thankfully one pub has come to the rescue of parched workers.
For those of you who didn’t receive your wages this morning there’s some good and some bad news.
The bad news: your payments won’t go through until tomorrow morning as “a payment file was delayed last night”, according to Bank of Ireland on Twitter.
We can confirm a payment file was delayed last night and payment will credit tomorrow morning. Sincere apologies for this.

The good news: Sober Lane on Sullivans Quay in Cork and in Irishtown, Dublin 4, is currently offering a ‘buy one, get one free’ promotion to civil servants who can produce an official civil servant I.D.

Now, we know what some of you might be thinking: “But JOE, I’m a teacher, and the only proof of being a civil servant that I have are the invisible emotional scares that those little sh*ts left me back in May.”
