After both David Beckham and Brad Pitt were spotted wearing beige ensembles in recent weeks, M&S have announced that their beige jean sales have risen 150%.
With Father’s Day fast approaching, the fashion outlet confirmed that sales of their men’s beige jeans have risen +150%, owed likely a host of male celebrity’s prevalence for trying the chino trend. Opting for a lighter shade of beige, M&S have said that their pair show that the safari-inspired trousers are making a comeback.
Tony O’Connor, Head of Menswear Design at M&S says of the news: ‘Summer is the perfect time for men to wear lighter colours. Both celebrities and the SS11 catwalk shows have promoted the safari-inspired trend, bringing it back into men’s wardrobes for summer.”
“Strong sales of the M&S beige jeans too prove that lighter colours are becoming a summer staple for many men,” he added.
We at JOE have slowly been cottoning onto the growing emergence of beige and casual trousers as a signature staple of any man’s wardrobe and recently ran a Trendspotting piece on chinos and a Style Guru feature on how best to complete the look.
Having said that, we’ve no idea how Angelina let her husband out of the house in that full-on beige outfit, pictured above.
