In order to get you in the mood for summer (yes, it really exists) we’re picking a brilliant summer tune for you to listen to.
This week it’s the Beach Boys with their massively iconic hit, I Get Around.
An obvious choice? Yes. Do we care? No.
Just because it’s obvious doesn’t take away from the fact that it is an absolutely iconic and great tune. In fact it’s probably one of, if not the, original summer tunes.
Released in 1964, it bagged the Beach Boys their first Number One single and has remained just as catchy as it ever was.
In fact, we’re willing to bet (not really) that probably EVERYONE in the world first heard this song growing up, didn’t know who sang it, didn’t know what the words meant but just instinctively knew that it meant that the summer had finally arrived.
Now sit back, fill up your hot water bottle and enjoy:
