Mercedes-Benz has been a proud ‘international partner’ of the Masters since 2008 and this year they’ve been showing off the new E-Class at Augusta.

Mercedes-Benz has been active in the sport of professional golf since the 1980’s. And it shows…

As a result of its partnership with the PGA of America, the brand with the star has been the “Official Vehicle” of the PGA Championship and the Senior PGA Championship. In 2011, Mercedes-Benz’s golf activities were expanded through a partnership with the oldest golf tournament in the world, The Open Championship. But this week, it’s all about The Masters.

“The Masters is the most prestigious golf Tournament in the world and we are very proud to be partner to this outstanding major for the sixth time in succession now,” says Lueder Fromm, Head of Global Marketing Communication for Mercedes-Benz Cars. “The legend of Augusta is refined every year – with a unique spirit on and off the course. Mercedes-Benz can identify with this: ‘Living the perfect legend’.”

Mercedes-Benz supports a long list of other tournaments around the world for both amateurs and professionals, so they’re not all about the pros. Every year, more than 65,000 players in over 60 countries take part in the MercedesTrophy, a top-rate global tournament series for amateurs.

“What’s more, we will also be giving our Mercedes-Benz guests an exclusive preview of the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class, which is not being launched in the US until June of this year,” explains Lueder Fromm. “The new E-Class clearly points the way in terms of safety, design and efficiency. Many technical innovations are premiered in it; this is, without doubt, the best E-Class ever. That much is also clear from its design and from its reworked interior.”

It’s a truly stunning car and you can check out more pics of it over here
