It’s a slap on the back for Meteor who have done away with roaming charges for calls and texts while anywhere in the EU for their new and existing customers.
It seems Meteor is the first mobile phone company to listen to the cries of thousands of users who are always charged for receiving calls and texts when abroad.
Meteor customers will no longer have to suffer these pricey charges and can to receive calls for free while travelling within 39 locations in Europe.
Prepay customers will pay 29 cents per minute to make a call and 12 cents to send a text, with a 9 cents call set up fee.
Bill pay customers will pay 25 cents a minute to make a call and 10 cents per text.
This offer is available for new and existing customers to Prepay Anytime Choice and Current Bill pay tariffs. In order to opt in for this service, Meteor customers should text ‘Europe’ to 50104.
