A Welshman has made a vain attempt to board himself and his pony onto a train in the UK.

CCTV stills show the unnamed man and pony arrive at the ticket booth and eventually make a dash to get on the train at Wrexham General station.

The man brazenly tried to board the train with the animal after been told by a conductor that he couldn’t bring the horse on board.

After he was given a rundown of the rules and regulations concerning animals on public services, the man was left none too pleased about how he and his pony had been treated.

“I know the law,” he exclaimed, as he finally left the station by loading the animal into a lift to cross the bridge over the tracks and get down to the other platform.

There is speculation that the horse tranquiliser drug ketamine may have been involved but it is unsure whether it was administered to the pony or its owner.
