Stating that JK Rowling isn’t generous is almost as misinformed as saying the sun is conspiring against us and that Kilkenny are awful at hurling. It’s simply not true.
Yes, the Harry Potter author has earned a vast fortune for her years of endeavor and hard work but anyone that knows anything about Rowling will know that she’s incredibly charitable and kind to humanitarian causes.
In fact, she lost her place in the Forbes billionaires list in 2012 because she gave away so much of her fortune to various charities, $160 million in fact.
The author took to Twitter recently to express her sympathies at the tragic loss incurred from the refugee crisis and it seems that two of her misinformed followers felt the need to get in touch.
This is Rowling’s original message along with two very classy replies.
