Photographer Jamie Malone has captured an eerily wonderful image of Jerpoint Abbey in County Kilkenny.
Taken looking down at the fog, this provides a clear image of the inside of the ruined Cistercian Abbey while the land around it is covered in fog.
Breathtaking.
“My photos are an extension of the world I see around me,” Jamie tells JOE.
“I’ve always had an interest in different landscapes and seeing things from a different perspective. I learnt to scuba dive 11 years ago and that’s where my passion for photography grew, I bought a camera and underwater case and quickly realised my new labour of love was photography.
“Flash forward to 2013, returning from Canada to raise a family in Ireland, I dusted off my photography gear and started a photo page on Facebook so my friends and family could keep up to date with my trips and any hidden gems I might discover along the way.
“I now have more than 5000 Facebook followers and my passion for photography and showing the world my slice of heaven I call home in the south east of Ireland keeps growing.”
