There’s one mechanic in Germany who’s probably wishing he called in sick yesterday…
When you give your car to a mate you hope (or pray in some cases) that they handle it with great care, but when you give your car to a garage you EXPECT it to come back in one piece.
Sadly, that wasn’t the case for one car enthusiast in Germany who sent his €650,000 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL in for a service only to get a phone call from the police saying it had been written off.
According to reports, a 26-year-old mechanic and a 19-year-old apprentice were driving the car around a tight left hand turn on a road that was 80kph when it skidded out of control and rolled.
Thankfully, the owner wasn’t that upset about the incident according to Thomas Endesfelder, and neither of the lads were too seriously hurt, but it’s never nice to see a classic going out in such horrible fashion.
