If you thought the yellow line situation in Ireland was bad wait until you see what the council have been up to over in Swindon.
Two sets of double yellow lines have recently been painted in an alleyway in Swindon, but there’s a slight problem as the alleyway is too small for cars to pass through – let alone park illegally.
The lines, painted in a lane just off Newhall Street in Swindon, have a gap of just 33cm between them – which is a little bit more than a normal ruler.

So what exactly caused this c*ck up of parallel proportions? Well, it seems like the contractors “forgot how big cars actually are”. We’re joking, right? Nope…
Here’s what a council spokesperson had to say: “It seems that our contractors forgot just how big cars actually are when they painted this one.
“We will be taking it up with them.”
