Is it possible to be surprised and not a bit surprised at the same time?
Temple Bar is a strange place. Known as a tourist trap for people visiting Dublin, many people who live in the city choose to do their drinking elsewhere.
The reason has much to do with the prices, and it seems they’re not getting any lower since the last time we checked.
This is the receipt sent into us from Gogarty’s pub – a popular stop for people in the area – and while it’s a fine establishment and well worth checking out, you’d struggle to see much change out of a score for two drinks.
They’d better be serving the Bulmer’s in a crystal pint glass, while €3.00 for a splash of soda is just crazy.
