Oh dear god…
College is the time where you can let your hair down, have some brilliant nights out, all without the responsibilities of being a real, functioning adult.
One of the main changes is that often you get the chance to live away from home for the first time, with varying degrees of success.
Your new housemates will see the best and worst of you during your days living together through wild nights out and hangovers so severe you’re pretty certain you’re on the verge of passing into the abyss.
While good personal hygiene will usually remain a priority in college because nobody wants to shift the smelly guy/girl, often times cleanliness of bedrooms can take a back seat.
Kate Cadogan got in touch with us about the condition of her friend’s room in Galway. Emma Moore is a third year college student in Galway and has been living in her accommodation since September.
By the looks of things, she hasn’t done a tidy of the room since September as well…

Thankfully, Kate informs us that Emma keeps the common areas of the house tidy with the mess mainly being concentrated in her room.
Emma likes to adorn the floor and available shelf space in her room with bags of clothes, food, washing and a few cans of Karpackie.
Don’t we all Emma, don’t we all…

Oh to be back in college again, huh?
Cheers to Kate Cadogan for sending this our way.
