Well, that’s one way to do it…
There are many way to make your debs a memorable occasion; you can take an impromptu trip and end up in Paris or you can get photobombed by two horses ridin’ in the background.
Or you can bring a date that you found after taking out an internet advert, which is exactly what this fella from Wicklow is trying to do.
He took out an ad on Done Deal to try and find a date for his debs.
The ad reads: “Hi there, my debs is on the 11th of August and due to circumstances I don’t have a date, so if you’re interested send me a text. Debs comes with full trimmings i.e flowers and chocolates for parents, lifts, corsage, food and drink.”
So far so good, he’s offering a charming service with all the niceties of a real date, and who could turn down the offer of chocolates and a corsage?
He revealed a bit more about himself to potential suitors…
“A little about myself: I’m 18, 5ft11 (close enough to 6ft), I sail and I play provincial rugby.
“Have 6 brothers and 4 sisters, I have a decent job (electrician), Good sense of humour, Generous, Good craic.
“Don’t smoke, And not that bad looking according to my mother… Like all types of music, Play guitar, bass and ukulele.”
