This week, The Engine Room Show kicks off with the coolest intro we’ve ever heard on any podcast, but Dave Humphreys and Steven Cooper don’t seem too happy…
The lads kick things off with the most manly few moments of The Engine Room Show podcast to date with burps and talk of ‘seepage’, but thankfully, things quickly move on to more motoring related topics.
First up is the almost unbelievable story of Cooper’s missus witnessing someone trying to reverse back around a roundabout after they missed their exit, which just sounds absolutely ridiculous… But sure, there’s always one.
Dave Moore has a vent about waiting for a pickup truck after his wife’s motor clapped out and the hilarious story of idiotic motorists sitting behind the empty stranded car beeping at it to get out of the way. They weren’t just any awl motorists either; they were mostly women of a certain ‘vintage’ driving hatchbacks.
Cooper then tells us about his troubles finding the NCT centre in Fonthill and his worries that he was a little out of place, you’ll hear why. However, Cooper’s car sadly failed and he had to bring it back to his ‘mechanic’ who doesn’t exactly sound like the greatest guy for the job…
Humphreys wraps things up with his gripes on the new fangled steering wheels that have loads of buttons which makes whipping cars into parking spaces that bit harder. It’s almost at the stage where they have more buttons than an F1 steering wheel (pictured above).
