Those willing to chance a holiday in Egypt are in for big savings on their summer trip abroad with prices for top end hotel stays being slashed.
Travel agency Sunworld has a range of reduced-rate holidays on offer in the somewhat turbulent country, although they are focusing on Sharm El Sheikh which escaped any disturbances.
The sun tour operator has a selection of June and July specials that involve four and five-star hotels on the Sinai Peninsula from €599 per person for seven nights.
Among the offers is a stint in the Savoy Sharm in Sharks Bay – a five-star property set on a private beach overlooking Tiran Island.
Stays at the diving Mecca are on special offer for seven nights from 22 or 29 June on a B&B basis for €599 per person, or €655 for departures on 6 July.
An all-inclusive seven-night stay in the four-star Sun Island View, close to the beach at Sharks Bay, looks another bargain.
This one runs from 22 June and comes in at €619 per person sharing – and that includes all your food and drink. This increases to €669 for 6 July departure and €689 for the 13 July.
“Sharm El Sheikh’s many top-quality hotels are turning it into a veritable oasis of luxury,” said John Kinane of Sunworld Holidays.
“This month sees a range of offers that put 5-star indulgence within reach of even the most cost-conscious of sun-seekers.”
