Robbie Williams is launching his new Farrell clothing range aimed at the working class man… but you need to be a high roller in order to afford it.

Following in the footsteps of fellow British singer Liam Gallagher, Robbie Williams has launched a new clothing range, named after his grandfather Jack Farrell.

Although he does not design the clothes himself, a spokesperson has claimed he’s overseen all stages of the process of creating the Farrell line, which goes on sale in September.

The clothes are being promoted as a working class fashion line and the Take That returnee has released a video that plugs his new threads.

But despite the clothes having an everyman appeal their prices don’t, with T-shirts costing €39 and the cost of a coat clocking in at €390.

The Daily Star reports that fans are ‘fuming’ as the prices mean that they’ll be out of reach for most.

Having said that, there have been few complaints about the actual clothing so far, which looks as if it meets the brief of being decent, unflashy menswear for ordinary working class men.

It has the seal of approval of the likes of Esquire magazine UK’s editor Alex Bilmes. “There are only a handful of British men who appeal to other men of that generation: Robbie, Liam, Beckham and Daniel Craig,” Bilmes says.

“Robbie is not a polarising person. If you asked most men whether they would have a coffee with him, play football or go round to his house, they would all say yes.”
