January slump, we don’t think so…
Concentrating on work after an epic Christmas can be tiring. Believe us we know; our first day back in the office we put eggs in the toaster… and we didn’t even want toasted eggs that morning!
Thankfully we think we’re back to our normal selves. Actually we’d go one step further, we reckon we’ve cracked this whole slump business altogether.
Here’s our guide on how you can do the same…
Restart your New Year’s resolution
JOE vowed to eat less chocolate for our New Year’s resolution. We lasted until about 4pm on January 1 and then realised there was still a Dairy Milk in the fridge.
Instead of turning it into a non-functioning harmonica in the style of Morrissey (above), we munched it down quicker than you can say “is he not vegan?”
So, in the iconic words of Steven Gerard, we decided to ‘go again’ and have been stringent ever since. The renewed challenge has given us a real buzz… we’re just hoping we don’t slip up again.
Use music to motivate
Here’s an idea: put together a playlist of your favourite motivational music and every time you feel a little drained during January just press play. You’ll be surprised how much life it gives you.
Here’s the first track we’ll be using… *JOE proceeds to run up stairs and punches air.
Try a new sport
You’ll be fitter, look better and feel less drained. Just be careful when picking a sport… bog snorkling isn’t much fun this time of year. Or any time of year for that matter.
Cleanse your diet
We’re not suggesting you cut out all the rubbish in your diet, because everybody needs a little cake every now and again. And again. And again…
Just try to cut down on food with added sugar and maybe try not to add any extra salt to your meals.
You’ll be surprised how much extra energy you’ll have.
