60% of the time it works every time.
Attraction and chemistry can be difficult things to explain because people’s tastes vary, unless you happen to be the spitting image of Jennifer Lawrence or Ryan Gosling.
Then you’re just a ride.
Physical features, a good sense of humour, nice clothes and countless other things can all help a person look even more sexified but we’ve a feeling that some men might be interested in hearing about this cologne.
The effortlessly cool Steve McQueen is still leading the way in terms of style because scientists have discovered that his aftershave, Christian Dior’s Eau Sauvage, might provide some help when it comes to getting a ladies attention.
It seems that this aftershave contains a chemical called Hedione that stimulates the area of the brain that’s responsible for releasing sex hormones in women.
Hedione generates ‘sex-specific activation patterns’ in the nasal tissue which links to the brain.
Apart from Eau Sauvage other colognes with some Hedione in the mix include:
First by Van Cleef & Arpels
Chamade by Guerlain
Chanel no. 19
L’Eau d’Issey by Issey Miyake
Angel by Thierry Mugler
Blush by Marc Jocobs
Paco by Paco Rabane
CKOne
Eau Sauvage by Christian Dior
Cue every lad running to their nearest store like this.
To see the effect that the scent had on the brain, scientists analysed brain activity in women when they smelled Hedione.
The test showed that the chemical activated a specific area of the hypothalamus which is known to promote sexual responsiveness by flooding the body with sex hormones.
What Brian Fantana would make of fact that there isn’t a single mention of using bits of real panther in this scientific research?
