Those Eiffel 65 lads knew what they were talking about.

Despite being one of the most common questions asked of a human being by another, we don’t think a general consensus has been reached as to what exactly is the world’s favourite colour.

Until now, that is.

A recent survey by YouGov asked people in 10 pretty well populated countries – USA, UK, Germany, China, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia – to select their favourite colour from ten options and there was one resounding winner.

People in the UK appear to like the colour blue more than anywhere else, although spare a thought for the colour brown, which finished bottom of the pile in every country apart from Indonesia, where it ranked third in popularity behind worldwide favourites blue and red.

Surely green would get top marks if a similar survey was conducted over here, right?
