Study: Men see a red dress as an invitation for sex

A new study suggests that men prefer a lady in red because we think she’ll be up for a bit of the other on a first date.

Lets face it, if you see a woman walking down the street in a tight red dress you’re more than likely going to stop and stare politely take notice. Not because she has curves in all the right places, or because there’s a bit of a show going on, but because it’s engrained in us that she’s easy.

Now, that doesn’t mean that every woman who wears red is easy. It just means that deep down inside, we think she is.

The study in question looked at 120 male students aged 18 to 21 from the University of South Brittany in France. It discovered that most of these males thought a woman who wore red had “greater sexual intent” and was more likely to get into the sack on the first date, unlike a woman who wore more natural colours.

The study involved looking at a 20-year-old girl in different colour t-shirts (skimpy tops and mini’s were not included sadly) and the volunteers were asked to rate how good looking she was.

Volunteers also had to vote on how likely it was that she’d have sex with a man on the first date.

The woman was judged to be most attractive when she was wearing a red top, followed by white, blue and finally green and the lads thought she was most ‘up for it’ when she was wearing red followed by blue, green and finally white.

So, to sum things up, if she’s wearing red we think she’s up for bed and if she’s in white, we leave her alone for the night.

Okay, so at this point you may be wondering what was the point of this study? Well, the researchers now say that the results from the study supported their hypothesis that men see red as an invitation for sex.
