It being the middle of July, many of you have probably taken your summer holidays or palpably excited about going on them in the near future.
Whatever camp you fall into, there’s a decent chance you’ve showcased some of the habits of Irish holidaymakers uncovered in a recent survey by Trivago to find out how we compare to our European counterparts when it comes to summer travel.

As it turns out, the peak search time for Irish people going on their summer holidays tends to be in late July and the most popular time of the week to search for a holiday is 9-10pm on Monday, possibly as a method of overcoming the Monday blues.
The survey found that an average stay on holiday for an Irish person is four days and they’re prepared to spend approximately £118 per night on a hotel, compared to, for example, £150 by UK holidaymakers and £96 by tourists from Spain.
Check out some of the rest of the habits in the infographic below.
