Qatar Airways is the best airline in the world to fly with, according to a survey by AirHelp.

AirHelp, a company that seeks to compare the merits of various airlines in the best interests of passengers, ranked 77 airlines based on three separate criteria and deemed the Qatari-based airline worthy of the top spot.

The criteria used by AirHelp were quality and service, on-time performance and claim processing, with each one being marked out of ten to arrive on an overall score for each individual airline.

Aer Lingus and Ryanair were among the airlines ranked and finished in 24^th and 48^th place respectively, with heavyweights such as KLM, Virgin and Cathay Pacific joining Qatar Airways in the top ten.
