You can probably guess which side is cheaper.
Visitors to Dublin paid an average of €37 less for a room on the northside of the capital than on the southside last year.
According to research by Trivago, the price of an average hotel room (double room) on the northside of the city in 2015 was €120 compared to €157 on the southside for a one-night stay.

Trivago analysed travel data to the capital, looked at where visitors stay, which countries they are visiting from and how much they are willing to pay for a double room and found that visitors from the United Arab Emirates spent the most on hotel rooms in Dublin, averaging €155 per room.
Visitors from the UK and the US spent an average of €143 and €129 respectively, with Irish visitors stuck in the middle at an average of €132 per room per night.

German visitors, interestingly enough, spent an average of €110 on hotel rooms in Dublin during 2015, although Shane Long made sure that not everything went to plan for thousands of them during their stay last October.
