The top 20 safest cities in the world have been revealed

Another reason to want to go to Tokyo.

Tourists are, or at least should be, wary when travelling in unfamiliar places and you have to be more careful in some locations than others.

Knowing that a city ranks high in terms of safety will provide tourists with a little reassurance before they travel so before you book your holiers, it’s worth having a look at the cities that made the top 20 this year.

Stockholm was the highest-ranking European city on the list

The list was compiled by the Economist and took into account 40 qualitive and quantitive factors split into four categories: digital security, health security, infrastructure safety and personal safety.

If you’ve a few hours or days to spare you can read the report in full here, but have a glance at the cities that made the top 20 below; six European cities made the cut even if there was nary a sign of an Irish city in sight.
