Today, May 25, is National Fish and Chips Day and almost 200 chippers are celebrating the occasion in a manner which will make fish and chips fans very happy indeed.
This is the seventh year that the Irish Traditional Italian Chippers Association (ITICA) are celebrating the tradition of fish and chips in Ireland and, just for the halibut, over 180 ITICA chippers will mark the occasion by offering half price fish and chips for the day that’s in it.
You can find the participating chippers on the ITICA website, but with so many chippers taking part, you’re bound to find a plaice near you where you can trout yourself to a delicious meal at an affordable price.
National Fish and Chips Day, sure you can’t bait it.
