There’s a lot to miss about being a kid.
For starters, the world is an awful lot more simple when you can run around your garden pretending to be an airplane.
On the other hand, being an adult also has its perks – such as being able to afford to board an actual airplane. Really, it’s a toss-up as to who actually has it better.
A study conducted by Calpol (we don’t need to tell you what Calpol is) interviewed 276 parents and children in order to find out what kids love and hate about being kids. Here’s what they found:
10 best things about being a kid
- Playing with friends when you want
- Presents at Christmas
- Going on holidays with family
- Watching TV
- Getting pocket money
- Playing video games
- Being treated more like a grown up
- Not having to work or pay bills
- Getting to dress up in costumes
- Going to school
10 worst things about being a kid
- Having to do homework
- Being told when to go to bed
- Going to school
- Being told to turn off the TV
- Having rules
- Name-calling and bullying
- Getting grounded
- Having to do chores/jobs
- Older children telling you what to do
- Being forced to eat vegetables
We’re not sure anyone’s list of concerns ever actually deviates too far from these 20 things anyway.
