In our recent Slice of Ireland survey we asked over 3000 of you, the readers, about your sex lives.
Not in a creepy kind of way though. More of an educational, scientific, research kind of a way.
These are the results.
According to the findings, a quarter of Irish men and women said that they have sex multiple times a week.
17% of people said that they have sex once a week, and the same number of people said that they have sex once or twice a month.
However, one in 10 people surveyed said they get intimate less than once every 6 months.
The age group having the most sex are those between 25 and 34, with 40% of that group saying that they copulate several times a week.
Two in 10 people between 18 and 24 said that they have sex that often, while 62% of people in that age group said they get busy every two or three months.
44% of those surveyed in the 45+ age group said that they are having sex several times a month. With moves like this, we reckon this guy is definitely one of them…
While it seems that Irish people are knocking boots quite often, they are also practicing safe sex.
70% of people overall say that they take responsibility for their own contraception.
Interestingly, young people seem the most sensible when it come so safe sex, three quarters of 18-24-year-olds said that they look after their own contraception.
