Sporting Clip: Nastia Liukin says hello to the floor… with her face
Performing at the Olympic trials for this year’s 2012 London games, the 2008 women’s gymnastics all-around champion Nastia Liukin said hello to the floor in what has to be one of the most painful way’s possible. While preforming a routine on the ‘uneven bars’ – you think they would come up with a jazzier name by now – she let slip and fell, losing some serious points and possibly her place for London 2012. In fairness to Nastia, she gets back up, albeit teary eyed, and tries again. That’s what being a champ is all about.
