Video: Are these the most dangerous traffic lights in Dublin?

Shocking scenes from the North Side

Oisin Collins

Down with this sort of thing…

Do you drive through Doyle’s Corner on your way home from work? If you do happen to take the North Circular Road to or from work then we implore you to watch this video.

It features countless vehicles ignoring red lights and driving through the junction, even though the pedestrian lights are green.

The lights in question are greener than this beautiful isle of ours and much greener than your ex after she found out you started dating her much better looking friend. No? Just us?

Anyway, the video was spotted by the good folk over at StickyBottle.com, who point out that while motorists are quick to blame cyclists for breaking red lights, just as many motorists do the same, especially at this particular junction.

Check it out…

This didn’t just happen on a handful of occasions or on the same day. The video was originally recorded by YouTuber bobgoodbear over the course of nearly 2-months on Doyle’s Corner, North Circular Road, Dublin 7.

So is this Dublin’s most dangerous set of pedestrian lights?

If you have evidence of any other instances like this one make sure to send them in to us via editorial@joe.ie.
