Here we have a video of a red BMW as it rolls away from its driver into oncoming traffic.
Rule no.1 of parking your car: pull up the hand break before you get out. Sadly for the driver of this red BMW over in the States, he did the opposite.
Sprinting for his car’s ‘life’, the driver follows the BMW through some hedging which leads onto a busy section of road.
You may notice the sign that the car passes which reads ‘Power’ (and looks like the type you might see at a Texaco), so the driver could well have been filling up in the local petrol station and forgot to apply the parking break.
If it wasn’t for the hedges the driver may very well have missed his opportunity to jump, well, slip and stumble back into the car and hit the breaks.
He manages to get in just in time, because as soon as he brings the car to a halt a large van and a massive truck pass by. That surely would have led to some out right carnage, and one battered BMW.
Next time you park your car on a slight slope, make sure to use the hand break.
