Here we have a video of the World Touring Car Championship but we must warn you, a pigeon meets a car with explosive consequences.
Do you remember the old ‘Stop the Pigeon’ cartoon on TV where a group of bumbling bozos tried to catch a helpless carrier pigeon in every episode only to be outsmarted by the feathered creature at every move? Well, they should have tried to catch him with a high-power BMW M3, like this guy did.
Norbert Michelisz was leading the pack in his Team Zeng? Dension BMW M3 when a pigeon on the track misjudged how fast the cars were going and remained on the tarmac for just a fraction of a second too long.
The bird literally explodes on impact and feathers are left floating in the air until the majority of the pack has moved past the accident. If you’re a member of PEATA or just an everyday animal nut then don’t feel too bad, as the bird didn’t die in vain. The impact took its toll on Michelisz too and he slipped back from first all the way down to eighth position.
It clearly didn’t end well for either party.
The bird probably did come off a little worse though.
