It’s incredible to think that both the driver and the race marshal involved in this crash managed to survive. It’s a very nasty crash.
A group of Ferrari 458s were racing around the track at Suzuka, Japan, when one driver left the track at high speeds and crashed into a tyre barrier close to where a marshal was standing.
This is quite possibly the worst crash we’ve ever seen, so brace yourself…
The incident occurred back in April, but the footage showing the crash and the disintegrated car is only going viral now. The driver, Shigeru Terajima, miraculously survived the crash, but he remains in a serious condition in hospital.
According to Jalopnik, the race marshal is also in hospital but he’s believed to be in a better condition than Terajima. At least they’re both alive.
