There’s nothing like watching someone as they try to show off only for it to go belly up on them, which is exactly what happened to this Lexus IS F driver.
While showing off at this year’s Tokyo Auto Salon, this Lexus IS F driver learnt the hard way that rear wheel drive cars have a little bit more bite in them.
In the space of only about five seconds, the driver manages to wreck a car worth upwards of €60,000. Thankfully, the Lexus wasn’t totalled, but we certainly wouldn’t want to pick up the repairs bill.
The Lexus IS F has a 416 bhp 5.0-litre V8 engine and features a world’s-first eight-speed Sport Direct-Shift transmission. So, in other words, it’s a force to be reckoned with.
Sadly the driver ‘touched’ the accelerator just a little too hard and sent the car on to some small concrete bollards. They’re small, but they’re tall enough to suspend the car off the ground leaving it stranded helplessly.
So, remember, next time you want to show off or go hooning with your mates, make sure you know your car’s limits. Or at least do it in an open area, free of mini concrete bollards.
Here’s another angle of the crash:
