Having a name like Oisín, Fionn, Caoimhe or Caitríona can be a right pain in the arse when it comes to introducing yourself, especially if you’re abroad (trust us).
Most of the time, explaining the pronunciation of your name doesn’t help and you may even find yourself just going with whatever the other person says simply out of ease (again, trust us).
So the lads at Facts. decided to ask a few people with uniquely Irish names to tell us what it’s like being called… whatever it is they’re called; it’s too bloody hard to say half of them.
