And they would have gotten away with it too if it wasn’t for the pesky… police officer on a motorbike right beside the bloody car!
Most drivers will admit to having taken a chance on running a red light at some stage, but it’s one thing doing so when you’re approaching a traffic lights when the lights are about to turn red and another thing altogether doing so from a standing start. With a police motorbike in full view right alongside.
Granted, the lights were about to turn green and the road in front was clear, but would it have killed the driver in question to wait a couple more seconds, particularly considering the unmistakeable presence of a police officer sitting right alongside?
It was a decision they soon lived to regret in any case.
