Next month sees the launch of the new Range Rover Evoque, and first impressions are that it’s the coolest looking Range Rover ever.

The muscular British designed and built compact SUV is possibly the sleekest Range Rover ever.

It’s certainly the smallest, lightest and most fuel-efficient Range Rover ever produced.

Should you get your hands on one there are loads of options available to personalise your car. There are twelve external colours to choose from, three contrasting roof colours, 16 tailored designer interiors options and seven alloy wheel designs – from 18-inch to 20-inch.

Under the bonnet, the comprehensively updated 2.2-litre turbodiesel has 190PS or 150PS derivatives. The front-wheel-drive coupé version combined with the 150PS 2.2-litre engine achieves sub 130g/km* CO2.

The state-of-the-art new 240PS, 2.0-litre Si4 petrol engine combines direct fuel injection, turbocharging and twin variable valve timing for exceptional driveability and fuel efficiency, delivering 0-100 km/h in 7.1 seconds.

Most importantly it looks stunning out on the road, as the video above shows.

The entry-level (but still well specced) Range Rover Evoque 4wd Pure TD4 5 door will cost €40,975 in Ireland (VRT Band C), with prices going up to €66,920 for the top-of-the-range Range Rover Evoque 2.0 SI4 Prestige Coupe (petrol – VRT Band F).
