Do you hate that manky, watery-ketchup that comes out of the bottle before the tasty, tasty sauce? Then you need to check out this brilliant student-created 3D-printed lid…
The Urban Dictionary describes watery-ketchup or ‘Pre-Ketchup’, as “the watery substance that comes out of an unshaken ketchup bottle before the ketchup comes out in full force”.
Frankly, watery-ketchup is disgusting and getting some on your food is a sure-fire way of ruining a nice cooked dinner. Thankfully, two high school students over in the States have come up with a 3D-printed bottle cap that ensures your food stays watery-ketchup free during every meal. Even breakfast…
Tyler Richards and Jonathan Thompson are the two high school seniors in question and their idea came about after they decided to take part in the Project Lead the Way program.
As you’ll see in the video, the device works by forcing ketchup away from the cap and into a small tube at its centre, which helps to separate the ketchup from the watery mess that is near-universally hated.
While it’s a pretty good idea, we don’t see why the lads just didn’t just use the old-school method of shaking the bottle first?
