These petrol thieves thought they were on to the perfect crime, that was until they tried to make their getaway…
Police in Australia are currently searching high and low for a couple of petrol thieves in southeast Queensland who got away with the fuel, but not before making themselves look like a pair of fools.
Here’s the video that was captured by CCTV…
Now, just by looking at the woman, you know something is up. Firstly, she doesn’t look like the most respected member of Australian society, and secondly, she’s seems pretty paranoid of the pump attendant.
Once the pump attendant gets around to the front of the car, the driver obviously gets spooked and floors it mid-pump without waiting for his accomplice to get into the car. In fact, his partner in crime is thrown into the air as the pump is ripped from its main casing.
Fuel spills everywhere as the woman clambers back into the clapped out motor and the attendant quickly runs to cut off the main supply.
According to QUNews, “Police are still searching for both the driver and his passenger. Anyone with information can phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
That’s the Australian Crimestoppers, mind you, so don’t bother ringing up the Irish Crimestoppers…
