VIDEO: Students and teachers at Dublin school go wild for Maniac 2000 during early-morning rave

Conor Heneghan

And they’re dancing like they never did before.

St. Raphaela’s Secondary School in Stillorgan in Dublin are holding an active healthy week this week, with a number of initiatives to get students up and about at lunch hours and in the morning before school starts.

One of the more popular activities has proved to be an early-morning rave, with students given free rein to go buck ape dancing while “DJ Fallon” blasts out the tunes and emphatically rids everyone present of any lingering early-morning fatigue.

No tune gets Irish partygoers in the mood more than Maniac 2000, of course and students and teachers alike reacted exactly as you’d expect when the tune was blasted out on Tuesday morning at a rave that began before 8am.

This morning’s rave which started day 2 of Active Schools week! Thanks for all the shares and positive feedback ?

The video has already been viewed more than 60,000 times and is getting great feedback; if schools around the country are looking for ideas, they could do a lot worse than “taking it to the maximum” themselves.
