Johnny Collins competed in his first Dublin City Marathon at the age of 53 back in 1984.
Next Monday he will run the race for the final time, although he refuses to rule out a comeback.
We love this video by the lads at Flint Collective, showing the spirit and tenacity of a man who still drinks the occasional couple of pints of Guinness to keep his strength up.
