Sometimes having loads of money can lead you to making bad decisions, like driving your €120,000 Bentley GT through rising flood waters, just because you can…
A lucky lottery winner over in the UK must have though his gorgeous Bentley GT could also be used as a submarine after he tried (and failed) to drive through three-feet of flood water on Wednesday morning.
Robert Johnson bought the luxury car after landing a £5million lotto jackpot back in 2008 and according to The Daily Mail it was his ‘pride and joy’ until it was destroyed. However, Mr Johnson isn’t that bothered by it all and he’s already replaced the water logged Bentley with a brand spanking new Mercedes. Well for some.
‘I don’t know what all the fuss is about, it’s just a flooded Bentley,’ he said. ‘I’ve gone out and got a new car. Job done.’
Apparently, Mr Johnson was on his way to a business meeting and thought the car could handle the rising waters, however, he quickly found himself stuck with nowhere to go.
The AA quickly arrived but they could only access the Bentley from the back and if you know anything about the luxurious British car then you’ll know that they have to be towed from the front as they’re all-wheel-drive and the nose sits quite close to the ground.
This is what it looks like when they’re towed from the back… It ain’t pretty.
