This all-women charity arm wrestling tournament was dealt a painful blow after one competitor walked away with a broken arm.
When Megan Weber, 31, from Delaware decided to enter a charity arm-wrestling event to raise money for women’s causes, she probably thought to herself, “what’s the worst that could happen?” Well, as it transpires, a lot can go wrong in arm wrestling.
After squaring up with her unnamed opponent, Megan (in the white top with the short hair) took the first round easily. However, her unnamed opponent must have been a lefty, as her left grip was so strong that it broke poor Megan’s humerus after roughly seven seconds of grappling. In fairness, she takes it all in her stride and looks more surprised than hurt.
“Stuff like that, you never expect things like that to happen,” said Megan. “I was looking forward to a fun thing to do for a good cause. It’s nobody’s fault. It’s just a freak thing that happened.”
It might have been an accident, but that doesn’t make it any easier to watch… especially in slow-mo.
