This trend of cleaning up after major events is really catching on.
Of all of the many, many standout moments involving Irish fans at Euro 2016, one of the most memorable was the clean-up job conducted by singing supporters in Bordeaux.
Sure, we were going to have a good time but we weren’t going to leave a mess afterwards and it would appear as if that attitude has spread to the Galway Races this week.
JOE reader Dearbhla Beirne was exactly where you’d expect someone to be after a night out in Galway – Supermac’s in Eyre Square – on Thursday night after Ladies’ Day at the Galway Races.
While there, she spotted two very mannerly young fellas, Tommy Brett and Jack Fogarty from Templemore, not afraid to get their hands dirty and chip in on what must have been a very busy night for the Supermac’s staff.
We’re sure they’ll be good for a free Mighty Mac meal on their next visit.
Gentlemen.
Cheers to Dearbhla Beirne for sending this our way. Got a story for JOE? Hit us up on Facebook or Twitter, send it to our WhatsApp number 087-4001102 or mail editorial@JOE.ie.
