The rapturous thunderclap managed to inspire Iceland and the city of Galway are hoping for the same response as they bid to become the 2020 European Capital of Culture.
A panel of judges recently visited the City of the Tribes and they were treated to a uniquely Irish version of Iceland’s booming war cry.
