It’s one of those questions that lurks around every bar stool and chirps into every procrastinating study group.
What would YOU spend the EuroMillions €100M jackpot on? While you’re putting a list together, allow JOE to run through all the lovely luxuries we will purchase if our numbers come up on June 5.
A stunning house
Spent: €12m Remaining: €88m
We’re a bright bunch here at JOE towers, so our first step would definitely be to put a roof over our head. Albeit with a very swanky roof.
Sorrento House in Dalkey looks like a pretty sweet option. It’s up on the market for €12 million, so we’d still have a fair bit of change left over after getting our mansion.
Fingers-crossed there’s an ensuite.
Some slick wheels
Spent: €13m Remaining: €87m
JOE’s ould Fiesta wouldn’t be up to scratch if we won the big one. We’d have to upgrade… when we say upgrade, we mean we’d really upgrade.
The Hennessey Venom GT (pictured above) is sold at around €1 million and we reckon we’d look pretty darn slick rolling it into work.
If we were still going to work that is.
A big crazy party
Spent: €15 million Remaining: €85m
With all this practical spending, we almost forgot to celebrate. When it comes to parties, JOE likes to take our cue from the stars.
Simon Cowell’s 50th birthday involved a week-long holiday with a group of close mates in Miami, followed by a private jet to a mansion in England where 400 guests lapped up some serious luxury.
Opulent? Yes. Incredibly fun? Definitely.
It’s reported that this cost Simon almost €2 million… we can only imagine the morning after.
Give to charity
Spent: €50 million Remaining: €50 million
There’s a good chance that we’d have the mother of all hangovers after that party and thus, have a giant dose of the fear.
To reassure ourselves we’re not completely selfish, we’d probably give a fair ‘ol whack of the cash to charity. Let’s say, €35 million, shall we?
A trip to space with a mate who is afraid of heights
Spent: €52m Remaining: €48m
What’s the point of winning the EuroMillions if you don’t go and do something a little crazy?
Tickets for the Virgin Galactic are expected to go for around €200,000 which is more than affordable for a EuroMillions winner.
Going into space is fun, but not quite as fun as going into space with your mate who is afraid of heights.
Think this video, but multiply it by 50.

Of course, you’d need a few more mates to go along for the laugh too. Ten tickets, €2 million. Bargain.
An exotic island
Spent: €72 million Remaining: €28 million
According to PrivateIslandsonline.com you can pick up (not literally) an Irish island from as little as €75,000.
Of course, this island is pretty small and full of nothing but rocks and Atlantic waves, but it could be your own island nonetheless.
However, we think we’d go for something a little bit more exotic if we won the EuroMillions.
Katafanga Island in Fiji is up for grabs at the sweet price of €20 million. Sounds pretty darn good to us and sure we’ll buy the little Irish island for the craic as well.
The 10 most expensive bottles of wine on the planet
WineSearcher.com put out a list of the 10 most expensive bottles of wine on the planet late last year. The top 10 came to €39, 140.
That would be relatively pittance if you won €100 million, which seems crazy. The only way most of us would be able to afford this now is after a very awkward conversation with our local Credit Union.
A private jet
Spent: €97 million Remaining: €3 million
When searching for a private jet (there’s a sentence we never thought we’d write) there was one that really stuck out.
This beast:
The 2013 Gulfstream G450 is luxury personified. Just have a look…
On second thoughts, that would mean we’d also have to build a runway on our island. This being rich thing is awful tough, right?
What would we do with the remaining €3 million? Well, we’d probably just live very, very comfortably.
This Friday’s EuroMillions jackpot is a guaranteed €100m. Tickets can be purchased in-store until 7.30pm and online until 7.25pm on Friday 5th June.
