If you’re heading to Crete this summer, or thinking of going, here’s all the pricing info you need for the all important food and drink.

As we told you here, there are loads and loads of reasons why Crete is a great place for your holliers. Whether it is beaches or culture, a lads trip or a more romantic break with your other half, Crete has it all.

But before you book it, you may want to know what the all important food and drink is going to cost. So, we’re here to help.

First things first, the honest to goodness pint. That will set you back €4 so it is definitely cheaper than at home. And the really good news is that a spirit and a mixer will only cost you €3, and that is definitely way cheaper than you can find anywhere here.

And a bottle of wine, as you can imagine, is a bit of a bargain too at just €7.

As for food, well, eating out is definitely the best option. Breakfast will be around €5 to €7 and a three-course meal is going to be in and around the €20 mark. That’s pretty decent.

If you’re looking for places to visit, and like your seafood, try Maliaport, a fish restaurant in Malia Harbour. It has great Cretan food, great views of the harbour and is definitely worth a visit if you’re there.

For a hangover killing breakfast the Red Lion Pub on Beach Road in Malia is the spot. It has free wi-fi too so you can update Facebook and it’s not a bad place to pop back to later in the day for good drink promotions too.

And if you are going for a big night out, the Candy Club in Malia, smack in the middle of Beach Road, is the spot. Two bars, two stages and loads of great theme nights, you really can’t go wrong. Much like the rest of the Crete…

Thomas Cook are offering a special summer holiday sale to Crete starting from only €299pp. For more information click here!
